i bought the QDC-Type C cable for my KZ DQ6.
i have been using my dq6 for over 2 years and needed the wire replacement.
-packaging was minimal, comes with a hard case inspired plastic case. (i dont recommend that case for daily use)
-wire strands feels soft, a bit too soft if you ask me.
-it fits my dq6 easily. connecting end seems sturdy.
-the sliding bead is a nice touch.
sound testing
- i felt like these cables did helped with taming the harshness of dq6
- felt like both bass and treble got smoothed a bit for the raw use, but dont take this as a negative. i liked this smoothening (I am not a basshead)
- doing wonders if you can do EQ. miles in front with the kz stock cable interms of performance (DO EQ)
- all the connectors seems to be working, already using 3.5mm jack. for 2.5 and 4.4, i checked with a multimeter. i dont have any way to plug and use the balanced out.
planning to buy a DAC soon.
- cable felt tangle free in the first week of usage.
now for the nitpicks
- cable to connector connection seems a bit weak (see the pic).
overall, it is indeed a great buy.
make sure to buy and use a hard case for the iem and cable.
I do recommend this cable as a replacement/upgrade for IEM. (I have only tested with KZ DQ6)
hope this will help.
if i find something more to add, will be back.
