With the award-winning RS6 audio player released last year, HiBy introduced the Darwin architecture. They have reworked the same and designed a completely new Darwin II architecture. In terms of sound performance, it offers unlimited possibilities for upgrades and evolution.

R2R Resistor Array for Darwin II Architecture consists of 12 high-speed switches and 184 high-precision resistors. At low signal levels, these numbers are double the amount in the last generation, thus improving dynamic performance and fidelity. The digital signal is driven by electronic switches that operate at high speeds. For listeners, they deliver organic, transparent, and natural sound.

Darwin II Architecture effectively reduces non-linearity due to mismatches in resistor resistance in the R2R network. An organic tone and relaxing sound presentation are guaranteed.

The RS8 is a flagship-quality music player. A titanium chassis was designed by high-precision CNC machining processes over six stages. RS8's exterior exhibits a smooth, rich texture after about 19 hours of labor and polishing.

RS8 can easily switch between OS and NOS modes. The Non-Oversampling mode bypasses oversampling and antialiasing, allowing it to respond instantly to transients. It converts the digital signal directly into analog. It is primarily suitable for music files of high bitrate and resolution (at least 192kHz). In oversampling mode, low-pass filters easily remove aliasing artifacts. Essentially, it enables all of Darwin's functions.

HiBy RS8 is designed with top-quality components to deliver a true flagship player. The package includes audio-specific femtosecond crystal oscillators (45.158MHz/49.152MHz), silk fibre capacitors, tantalum capacitors, and thin-film Panasonic POSCAPs.

HiBy RS8 equipped with Qualcomm’s high-performance Snapdragon 665 SoC chipset. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM, RS8 provides a lag-free user experience with open Android 12 OS.

HiBy RS8 always maintains peak performance. A special Class A amplifier chipset ensures ideal drive and produces powerful output, allowing it to drive even full-size headphones. Two OPA1652 chips and eight NXP Dual Bipolar Transistors are used in this Class A amplifier circuit. Turbo mode ensures powerful performance.
