The Monk SM is suitable for any genre in my opinion especially for vocal based music, rock, and metal.

CABLE: Cable of the Monk SM is a basic Monk series cable but in a new dark silver color that is thin, flexible and as durable as the original Monk Series cable. The look is like a high-end product. The audio plug is a gold-plated pin encased in a solid shiny metal like the earbuds itself. Overall, the design is simply beautiful and punches well above the asking price of the Monk SM.
