Description

The Fosi Audio i5 stands as the flagship of Fosi’s headphone lineup, integrating advanced planar magnetic technology with a painstakingly crafted walnut wood and aluminum enclosure to deliver both visual elegance and high-fidelity performance. Its 97mm ultra-thin diaphragm planar drivers, driven by 44 high-strength N50 neodymium magnets per pair, ensure exceptional speed, clarity, and control across the frequency spectrum. The open-back acoustic design provides an extraordinarily spacious, natural soundstage, revealing subtle details and complex textures in recordings with lifelike realism. The precision-machined aluminum mesh and walnut wood accents highlight the attention to both durability and aesthetics, while the memory metal headband and dual-axis earcup arms guarantee a secure, comfortable fit for extended listening sessions. The i5’s robust build quality, combined with technical innovations make it a top choice for audiophiles, musicians, and anyone demanding uncompromised sound reproduction in a premium, ergonomic package.

ADVANCED 97MM MAGNETIC PLANAR DRIVERS

At the heart of the Fosi Audio i5 are ultra-large 97mm Planar Magnetic Drivers, employing a 2-micron thin diaphragm and spiral-coil windings for exceptional speed and accuracy. The design’s low mass and even magnetic flux, courtesy of 44 high-grade N50 neodymium magnets per pair, ensure minimal distortion and class-leading transient response. These technical innovations enable the i5 to reveal fine details across the frequency spectrum, including subtle harmonic textures and crisp edges, while maintaining the organic flow and musicality expected from premium headphones. The result is a transducer system that appeals to both analytical listeners and those who want a faithful, engaging, and dynamic listening experience.

PREMIUM MATERIALS AND STURDY BUILD QUALITY

This Premium Headphone blends the warmth of natural Walnut Wood with the strength of CNC-Machined Aluminum, delivering a visually striking profile built for longevity. The memory metal headband resists permanent deformation, while smooth silicone sliders ensure a secure, fuss-free fit that adapts to a wide range of head sizes. The dual-axis earcup arms and sturdy metal construction provide robust support, ensuring consistent comfort and stability during long listening sessions. Attention to detail in material selection and manufacturing tolerance means the i5 feels solid in hand and on the head, making it suitable for everyday enjoyment as well as prolonged professional use.

OPEN-BACK ACOUSTIC DESIGN

The i5 features open-back acoustic design, built on the infinite baffle principle, allows sound to escape naturally from the rear of the driver, avoiding the buildup of chamber resonance that can color the sound. This architecture delivers a remarkably spacious, speaker-like soundstage which feels vast, open, and three-dimensional, with instruments and vocals positioned with clarity and depth. Enhanced imaging and instrument separation make it easy to pick out details in complex arrangements, ideal for critical listening and studio monitoring. This design also provides a neutral, fatigue-free tonal balance and reproduces reverb and ambience cues with realism, though some sound leakage is inevitable.

HARMAN-TARGET REFERENCED SOUND SIGNATURE

Tuned to deliver a balanced, refined listening experience closely aligned with the Harman over-ear target curve. It offers an analytical yet musical sound, providing both neutrality and engagement for discerning listeners. The bass is fast and precise, with a tactile presence that avoids excessive warmth or mid-bass bloom. Mids are clear and slightly recessed, ensuring vocals remain natural and detailed without sounding forward or shouty. Treble is extended and airy, lending clarity and separation to the overall presentation while maintaining a smooth character after initial burn-in. The result is a highly resolving signature suitable for both critical listening and long sessions, accommodating a wide range of genres.

CUSTOM-FIT DUAL-AXIS EARCUP ARMS

Dual-axis earcup arms deliver both vertical and horizontal rotation for an instant, accurate fit regardless of head shape or size. The earpads, built from breathable perforated leather and fabric with memory foam, maintain a soft, cool surface that minimizes heat and pressure even during long listening sessions; comfortably accommodating glasses wearers. Despite the substantial 550g weight, meticulous engineering ensures even distribution across the head, while a flexible memory metal headband and stepless silicone adjustment provide both stability and adaptability. This thoughtful approach to comfort, from ergonomic movement to sweat-resistant materials, results in a fatigue-free listening experience that endures for hours.

STUDIO-GRADE EFFICIENCY AND VERSATILITY

The Fosi Audio i5 is engineered for both efficiency and versatility, with a 28Ω impedance and 98dB/mW sensitivity for wide compatibility. It can be easily driven by smartphones, portable DAC/amps, and professional desktop systems. While portable sources deliver satisfying clarity, desktop amplifiers unlock deeper bass and enhanced dynamic range. The i5 includes 3.5mm TRS cables, along with a 6.35mm adapter, ensuring seamless connection to different sources such as studio interfaces, and everyday devices.
