Description

Truthear presents the ZERO: BLUE2, a high-performance in-ear monitor co-engineered with Crinacle, designed to deliver exceptional audio quality and comfort. It features a unique dual dynamic driver setup—a 7.8mm driver for crisp treble and a 10mm driver for punchy, controlled bass—combined with a specially crafted crossover design that ensures clean output with ultra-low distortion. The high-precision DLP 3D-printed acoustic cavity enhances acoustic performance by enabling smooth frequency transitions and minimizing phase distortion. With its re-engineered internal structure and advanced tuning, the ZERO: BLUE2 offers an immersive, balanced listening experience, making it an ideal choice for audiophiles, gamers, and audio professionals alike.

Note: ZERO: BLUE2 IEM is available in two versions—no mic (standard cable only) and with mic (includes standard and premium oxygen-free copper mic cables).

DUAL DYNAMIC DRIVERS WITH DUAL MAGNETS

The ZERO: BLUE2 is equipped with two precisely engineered dynamic drivers: a 10mm bass driver featuring a solid silicone suspension paired with a powerful N52 magnet, and a 7.8mm upgraded polyurethane suspension liquid crystal dome with an N55 magnet. This hybrid magnet setup produces a strong magnetic flux that ensures high efficiency and rapid signal transmission, resulting in accurate, dynamic audio reproduction.

ADVANCED CROSSOVER & 3D-PRINTED CAVITY

Designed with cutting-edge audio technology, the ZERO: BLUE2 employs a sophisticated low-distortion frequency crossover system combined with a cavity structure precision-crafted using high-resolution DLP 3D-printing technology. This ensures seamless transitions between drivers and maximises conversion efficiency. The result is a smooth frequency response, minimal phase distortion, and consistent performance that reproduces every nuance with clarity and accuracy.

ERGONOMIC DLP 3D-PRINTED SHELL

The earphone housing of the ZERO: BLUE2 is constructed using high-quality DLP 3D-printed resin from HeyGears, a trusted name in precision 3D printing known for advanced solutions in medical and consumer applications. This material creates a lightweight yet durable shell that fits naturally and comfortably in the ear. The nozzle size and internal support angles are carefully designed to reduce pressure points and ensure a secure, fatigue-free seal during long listening sessions. The skin-friendly resin also suits sensitive ears for extended comfort. A sleek, matching faceplate adds a refined finish and reinforces the IEM’s overall design.

UPGRADED COPPER SILVER-PLATED CABLE

The detachable cable features a high-quality copper core with silver plating arranged in a coaxial configuration. This design enhances electrical conductivity and reduces signal interference, resulting in clearer, more detailed sound reproduction. The 0.78mm 2-pin connectors provide a reliable, secure connection, while the cable’s flexible and tangle-resistant build ensures durability and ease of use in everyday situations.

ENHANCED SOUND WITH LOW DISTORTION

The ZERO: BLUE2 achieves significant improvements in sound quality over previous models, boasting lower nonlinear distortion and a smooth bass response below 50Hz that adds depth and punch without muddiness. It's transparent and extended high-frequency response closely matches natural hearing preferences, revealing fine details in music with impressive resolution and lifelike dynamics.

AVAILABLE IN MIC & NO-MIC VERSIONS

ZERO: BLUE2 comes in two variants.
The no-mic version includes only a standard audio cable for pure listening.
The mic version adds versatility for calls, gaming, and monitoring, and includes two detachable cables: one standard audio and one premium oxygen-free copper mic cable—the same used in TRUTHEAR GATE—offering clear voice transmission and reliable all-in-one functionality.

MODULAR DESIGN & BROAD COMPATIBILITY

Featuring a standard 3.5mm audio jack and detachable cables, the ZERO: BLUE2 offers broad compatibility with smartphones, digital audio players, computers, and gaming consoles. The modular cable system allows users to easily replace or upgrade cables, extending the lifespan of the earphones and adapting to different usage scenarios, whether for audiophile listening, casual use, or professional monitoring.

Generally good, but overhyped product

Prior to writing this, I have purchased 2 other IEMs and used, around 6 of them (Truthear Gate, KZ EDX Pro, 7Hz x Crinacle Zero:2, Tangzu Waner S.G, Moondrop Chu 2, Crinacle x Crinacle x Truthear Zero:RED), and my jump to this IEM was from its predecessor's variant, Truthear Zero:RED.

There is a difference, the nozzle is small now, which is a plus for ears of various shapes, I never had a problem with that in my reds. However, the tuning has changed too. Without the 5Ī© impedance adapter, it sounds very "open" if I had to describe it, or at least it feels very thin or shrill in its reception. I would say, it's a tad bit bright from what I understand of audiophile terminology. Now, with the adapter, it gets it to a more preferable sound for me, where it cuts this brightness a little bit. I also had been thinking of using the 10Ī© impedance adapter that I got from my reds, however, that just kills the brightness entirely, and it sounds super dull and lifeless, so not recommending that.

Big question, should you upgrade if you have Truthear REDs? I would say, a big NO. The reds are really good for their price, and I don't Think you should consider upgrading, unless you decide to jump on that 13k+ INR segment for IEMs (such as Truthear Novas or AFUL explorer). Now, if you are making the jump from the 1000-2000 INR segment, I think it's a good upgrade. However, it is very variable for a person to like the tuning (It's Harman Target), now the thing is, you won't know unless you try. If you like the way your current IEMs, you should research what tuning they have, or about their sound signature. You will get a general idea, if you want this or not. I am only saying this, because I do my due diligent research before buying a product, however, this was my first blind buy. This is only because I wanted something different from my previous IEM, it was nice, yeah, but I want something fresh.

So, if you don't like what you have currently, find the tuning, and if it's not the same, you can most certainly go for this one. If you are buying your first IEM, I think you can buy these if you have the budget for it.

Now, let's talk about gaming. I am specifically talking about valorant here. I will be honest, the truthear RED with the impedance adapter is better in all aspects except the depth perception. These do a wonderful job woth depth perception, in my opinion. My experience with them in the game was incredible, even with the impedance adapter, it muddies things a little but you can still tell things apart. Gun shots without the adapter sound really harsh, and depending on the skin, you might not even want to use guns like Vandal, Operator, Odin, etc.

Appearance wise, I like the new pattern. It's almost like butterfly wings, which is very pretty!
