The HiBy RS8II is a flagship Digital Audio Player redefining portable Hi-Fi with groundbreaking technology and design. It features the proprietary DARWIN III DAC architecture which is an advanced R2R-based platform. It integrates a high-capacity FPGA with 212 DSP units offering ultra-low distortion of just 0.0008%, FIR filters, Harmonic control, and NOS/OS switching for precise & flexible sound reproduction. Powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS8550 processor (based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform) with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, it ensures seamless multitasking and a smooth Android 13-based HibyOS experience. The AdaptiveAMP circuitry offers 64-level adjustable Class A/AB amplification for optimal sound and power efficiency.

The pioneering Sankofa AI sound cloning technology uses FPGA, NPU, and DSP arrays to recreate authentic analog tonalities from classic sources in real time. The RS8II also introduces I2S connectivity for enhanced integration and versatile output options. Its robust and lightweight build combines a one-piece aluminum alloy body with a glass back, accented by a diamond-cut volume knob and geometric design. The player also supports DSD1024, PCM up to 1536kHz/32bit, MQA 16x, true bit-perfect playback, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7 and fast 80W PD charging, making it a comprehensive ultra-flagship portable hi-fi solution.

R2R BASED DARWIN III ARCHITECTURE

The HiBy RS8 II features the proprietary DARWIN III architecture. It is a fully in-house R2R-based DAC platform combining a precision resistor ladder DAC with an FPGA hosting 212 DSP units. This delivers an ultra-low distortion rate of 0.0008%, with advanced FIR filtering, harmonic controllers and NOS/OS switching for remarkable sound accuracy and detail. It supports DSD1024 and PCM1536/32 formats, including 16x MQA decoding, ensuring faithful reproduction of high-resolution audio.

QUALCOMM PROCESSOR, AMPLIFICATION & POWER OUTPUT

The RS8 II is powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS8550 (equivalent to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) delivering 2,500 GFLOPS and 48 TOPS AI engine performance. This powerhouse chipset has never before seen in portable HiFi players. It runs HiByOS on Android 13 smoothly due to the 16GB RAM on-board and 512GB storage for large hi-res libraries. The all new AdaptiveAMP technology enables seamless automatic switching between Class A and Class AB amplification across 64 levels, balancing high-fidelity sound with power efficiency. Dual precision crystal oscillators minimize jitter, while multi-stage low-noise power regulation ensures clean and stable audio. Output power reaches 812mW (4.4mm balanced) and 210mW (3.5mm SE) at 32Ω, easily driving a wide range of IEM’s and Headphones with clarity.

HiBy has built its new premium audio player with a refined single-piece aerospace-grade aluminum chassis accented by geometric facets and sharp lines. The glass back panel enhances its modern luxury and tactile look, while the diamond-cut volume knob ensures precise & satisfying adjustment. Notable design elements, like the engraved “RS” logo and hexagonal buttons, highlight the company’s meticulous attention to detail. Weighing just 411g, the RS8 II remains impressively light for its class, adding to everyday portability. The 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) IPS display provides sharp and vibrant visuals with just as smooth touch response. This ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience while browsing your library or streaming music.

I2S INTERFACE AND VERSATILE AUDIO CONNECTIVITY

This flagship DAP offers diverse connectivity with 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and dedicated balanced line-out outputs. It is the first portable player to include an I2S digital output for high-end, low-latency digital interfacing. Wireless options include Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC codec for high-resolution streaming and Wi-Fi 7 for ultra-fast and stable connections. The USB-C port supports data transfer, SPDIF coaxial output and USB Audio In/Out modes, ensuring broad compatibility with external DACs, computers and digital sources. This versatility makes the RS8 II adaptable for any audiophile setup.

EXTENSIVE BATTERY AND FAST CHARGING SUPPORT

The RS8 II is equipped with a 6000mAh 46.8Wh battery, providing long playback times for extended listening sessions. It also supports fast charging up to 80W and bypasses Android’s sample rate conversion using HiBy’s Direct Transport Architecture (DTA), ensuring true bit-perfect audio playback. The player supports an extensive range of high-res formats and offers a user-friendly Android 13-based HibyOS, perfect for streaming and Playstore access.

SANKOFA AI SOUND CLONING

The Sankofa engine leverages the RS8 II’s powerful FPGA, NPU and DSP arrays to replicate the sonic characteristics of classic analog sources like Vinyl, Tape, Reel-to-Reel and vintage DACs; all in real time.
