Description

The QULOOS MUB5 is a premium portable DAC and Headphone Amplifier featuring a discrete 19+5 bit segmented R2R ladder architecture with 178 custom resistors for true analog-like sound. It supports high-res PCM and DSD playback with customizable oversampling and NOS filter modes. Power is supplied via 20 isolated LDO groups and LTC6655 references, ensuring ultra-low noise. The amp uses an OPA627 output buffer and discrete FZT transistors, offering selectable gain and up to 2500mW of power at 32Ω. Multiple inputs include USB, coaxial, optical, Line-in and Bluetooth (LDAC, aptX-HD). A 5000mAh battery offers 8 hours playtime, and user can also bypass it via 12V DC input. The CNC-machined chassis features advanced shielding for interference-free audio.

DISCRETE R2R LADDER DAC ARCHITECTURE

The MUB5 features an advanced discrete R2R segmented ladder DAC architecture that divides the 24-bit digital audio signal into a 19-bit lower segment and a 5-bit higher segment. This design uses 178 ultra-precise resistors matched to a tight 0.01% tolerance, along with 40 dedicated resistors to eliminate internal switch resistance, ensuring highly accurate and natural digital-to-analog conversion. Supporting high-resolution PCM and DSD playback, the DAC offers customizable sound tuning with its programmable oversampling (OS) and no-oversampling (NOS) filter modes. Additionally, DXD x2 upsampling minimizes signal loss and group delay, while ultralow jitter and zero-crossing distortion designs deliver clear audio reproduction with exceptional dynamic fidelity.

ADVANCED POWER SUPPLY & COMPONENTS

This Premium DAC/Amp incorporates 20 groups of isolated LDO power supplies, each independently powering different sections of the device to minimize noise and interference. It uses an LTC6655 voltage reference for exceptional power stability, ensuring clean and accurate signal reproduction. Multiple NDK/QA661 oscillators provide highly precise clocking, reducing jitter for improved audio clarity. A three-way power supply architecture separates power delivery for the R2R ladder and clock sections, preventing cross-contamination. The USB input is housed in an all-metal isolated casing to shield the audio path from USB noise. The design also features premium components such as large film capacitors, high-end electrolytic capacitors and WIMA inductors, all contributing to a high-quality power environment for refined sound performance.

SUPERIOR AMPLIFICATION & OUTPUT FLEXIBILITY

QULOOS has equipped MUB5 with OPA627 operational amplifier which delivers clean, powerful and detailed audio signals to connected IEM’s/Headphones. Its discrete FZT transistor headphone amplifier provides dynamic capabilities suitable for a wide range of headphone types. Users can select from Low, Medium, and High gain stages in accordance to the sensitivity and impedance of their headphones. This feature ensures optimal performance and volume control. The MUB5 is capable of delivering up to 2500mW of power into 32Ω loads, making it compatible with both sensitive in-ear monitors and demanding full-size headphones. For connectivity, it offers multiple output options including a 4.4mm balanced jack, a 3.5mm single-ended jack and a preamp-level output.

VERSATILE INPUTS & CONNECTIVITY

The newest offering from QULOOS features versatile input options including USB Type-C, coaxial RCA, optical and analog 3.5mm Line-In inputs. This allows seamless connection MUB5 with various digital and analog sources. It supports Bluetooth audio input with high-quality codecs such as LDAC, aptX, SBC, aptX-HD, and AAC for wireless streaming convenience. A professional-grade PLL (phase-locked loop) ensures jitter suppression, maintaining signal integrity across all inputs. The device supports dual power sources with 12V DC and USB input, also supporting seamless switching between them. This broad connectivity makes the MUB5 highly adaptable for both portable and home audio setups.

We usually ship orders on same day if ordered before 2 pm or within 24 hours if ordered later (except on holidays/sunday, where processing times may be higher) from one of our domestic warehouses based out of Delhi. It normally takes around 1 to 5 business days for delivery. We use premium service partners such as Blue dart, DTDC and Delivery for faster and reliable service. A tracking number will be provided upon shipment.
